114 Day 1. Arrive Istanbul. Be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel in the heart of this enigmatic city. This evening, enjoy a special Welcome Reception at your hotel. Stay (Two Nights): Istanbul, Kent Hotel. Day 2. Istanbul. Enjoy an enthralling day touring the sights with a local guide. Drive to the ancient walls of Istanbul, passing an impressive Roman aqueduct that cuts through the city. Then, visit one of the planet's most impressive monuments for its sheer scale and grandeur, the Blue Mosque. Afterwards, admire the equally striking Hagia Sophia, a Byzantine and Ottoman inspired basilica-mosque that now acts as a museum. A Taste of Turkey – enjoy a Turkish Delight tasting at the atmospheric Spice Bazaar. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner this evening. BD Day 3. Istanbul, Gelibolu, Gallipoli National Park, Çanakkale. Travel to the Gallipoli Peninsula today. Arrive in Gelibolu for lunch at a local restaurant then continue to the national park area for a special tour of the war memorials. Later, take a ferry to the ancient seaport of Çanakkale. Stay: Çanakkale, Kolin Hotel. BLD Day 4. Çanakkale, Troy, Pergamon, Kusadasi. Depart south along the Turkish coast today, stopping in the World Heritage-listed city of Troy, centre of the Trojan War as described in Homer's epic poem, 'The Iliad'. After a guided tour, head to the ancient city of Pergamon. Explore the Acropolis, Temple of Athena and the Library of Pergamon, then continue to the town of Kusadasi. Visit Aphrodisias, an archaeological site that contains some of the most impressive Roman ruins in Turkey.
