Travel to Arromanches and visit the Arromanches 360 Circular Cinema. Here, you will see the short film 'Normandy's 100 Days', a moving tribute to the soldiers from all countries and to the 20,000 civilians who were killed during this battle for the liberation of Europe. Later, visit the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, where the remains of 9,387 members of the American military are laid to rest, most of whom were killed during the invasion of Normandy. Here, you will also see Omaha Beach, situated directly beneath the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. This was one of the five sectors of the allied invasion of German-occupied France in the Normandy landings in 1944 during World War II. This evening in Caen, enjoy dinner at your hotel. Continue to explore the Lochnagar Mine Crate, Thiepval Monument and the Le Hamel Australian Corp Memorial. At Villers Bretonneaux, visit the Franco-Australien Museum, which tells the story of the Australians during the First World War, particularly on the Western Front in 1918. Continue to Bullecourt and pay your respects at the Australian Memorial. Inaugurated in 1938, the memorial reflects the vital contribution of the Australian troops. Constructed of white stone, it consists of a tall central tower and two corner pavilions linked to the tower by plain walls containing the names of the missing soldiers who have no known grave.
