104 Day 1. Arrive Lisbon. Welcome to the start of your amazing journey through Portugal and Spain. Be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in or start exploring. Enjoy a special Welcome Reception this evening with your Tour Director and fellow travellers. Stay (Two Nights): Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade. Day 2. Lisbon. A guided tour of Lisbon today takes you to the must-see sights. Explore the fascinating alleyways of the Alfama district; marvel at the Manueline-style Jerónimos Monastery; visit World Heritage-listed Belém Tower; and admire the Castelo de São Jorge, which occupies a commanding position overlooking Lisbon. A Taste of Portugal – savour a traditional afternoon tea and sample a local and delicious custard tart. This evening, enjoy dinner with traditional Fado music, which dates back to the 1820s. BD Day 3. Lisbon, Porto. Travel to Porto and embark on a city tour, exploring the Ribeira district – Porto's medieval old town, as well as be guided along the magnificent architecture of Porto's Baroque churches. A Taste of Portugal – enjoy a wine tasting showcasing some of the region's finest port wine. This evening, enjoy a wonderful dinner cruise on the Douro River. Stay: Hotel Carris Porto Ribeira. BD Day 4. Porto, Madrid. Conclude your journey through Portugal and commence your Spanish adventure with a scenic coach transfer to Madrid, a city well known for its artistic and culinary wonders. Arrive at your hotel, with the evening at your leisure. Stay (Two Nights): Madrid, NH Paseo del Prado. B Day 5. Madrid, Toledo. Visit Madrid's best-loved landmarks, including the Palacio Real. This afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of Toledo. Explore the old town's winding cobbled streets, as well as the 13th-century cathedral, overlooking the entire town. A Taste of Spain – enjoy a tantalising dinner of Madrid's finest produce at El Café de la Opera. Here, be treated to the unique experience of being served by singing waiters, showcasing Spain's most promising lyrical voices. BD Day 6. Madrid, Córdoba, Seville. Departing Madrid, set out for Seville. Along the way, pass through Córdoba and explore the Mezquita of Córdoba, a medieval Islamic mosque that was converted into a Catholic Christian cathedral, a fine example of Moorish architecture. Stay (Two Nights): Seville, Hotel Petit Palace Santa Cruz. B Day 7. Seville. Today, embark on a city tour of Seville. Discover World Heritage-listed monuments including the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, the Seville Cathedral. Continue to explore the Alcázar of Seville, a magnificent royal palace that was originally a Moorish fort. The rest of the day is at your leisure, were you can further explore or take a well-deserved siesta like the locals.
