Accommodation is available in 63 guest rooms including 170 standard rooms, 17 over-water bungalows set around an island, 15 over-water bungalow lagoon junior suites, 60 five-star panoramic rooms and a suite. A renovation in 2015 will see the construction of new over- water motu villas and a refurbished lobby. The hotel is air -conditioned throughout and amenities include direct dial telephone, television, radio, mini bar, refrigerator, personal safe, and tea and coffee making facilities. As well as 24- hour room service, high speed internet connection is available in all rooms and bungalows and Wi-Fi in all public areas. There are two infinity swimming pools— one is sandbottomed with a swim-up bar and a jacuzzi while the other is 1200 square metres with cascades and a jacuzzi. A unique feature in French Polynesia is the natural Lagoonarium, closed off to guarantee safe underwater observation of marine life. Conducted tours with mask and snorkel unveil the beauty of Tahiti's underwater world. A wide range of watersports, from scuba diving to kayaking and whale watching is offered through the Bathys Diving Center. Adults and children can participate as well as take courses. Other activities available include two f loodlit tennis courts, a jogging track and a par course or indulge and relax at the Deep Nature Spa. To assist guests in planning their time, there is an activities desk as well as a travel agency, car rental service and a babysitter on call. There are two restaurants at the resort. The all-day dining Tiare restaurant opens out theatre-style towards the pool, Lagoonarium and the island of Moorea. Tahitian dance shows are performed here three nights a week. The romantic Le Lotus overwater restaurant is three- star Michelin rated and offers gourmet luncheons and dinners seven days a week accompanied by fine French wines and stunning views. Sip on exotic tropical cocktails and your favourite drinks at InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa's three bars—the Lotus swim-up bar, the Tiki Bar and the Lobby Bar that is open at night only. For a special treat, guests staying in the over- water bungalows can have their breakfast delivered by outrigger canoe. This property successfully obtained the Earthcheck Silver Certif ication 2014.
