WINTER DISCOVERY TOURS CHINESE NEW YEAR TOUR Celebrate the Lunar New Year with Wendy Wu as your host! 8 Days – Beijing | Xian | Shanghai Absorb the spirit of Chinese New Year on this cultural journey, touring China's attractions during the most festive time of year and preparing for the celebrations with local families along the way. Explore the historical wonders of Beijing and the imperial attractions of Xian before meeting up with Wendy Wu in Shanghai to ring in the Chinese New Year on an exclusive dragon boat cruise. DAYS 1-4: BEIJING Fly overnight to the capital city of Beijing. Over the next few days, encounter some of China's most iconic attractions. Climb the incredible Great Wall, tour the exquisite Summer Palace, discover the treasure-filled Forbidden City and feast on the local delicacy, Peking duck. Visit a local family to learn about Beijing's unique New Year's traditions and customs and help prepare their elaborate paper decorations. Travel deep into the traditional neighborhood of Nanxiang to experience an authentic Chinese New Year. Join the families out and about, stocking up on their favorite foods, and this evening, join Wendy to celebrate the occasion with dinner, music, dancing and an exclusive dragon boat cruise along the Huangpu River.
