25 Cruise the Mekong River aboard the superb RV La Marguerite Local children along the Mekong River Day 24. Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Tralach, Oudong. A boat trip today takes you into the wetlands forming the river-mouth of Tonle Sap. Return to your ship and set out for Kampong Tralach. Here you'll enjoy an ox-cart ride, a mode of transport favoured by local villagers. Travel by coach to Oudong to receive a special Buddhist blessing. Return to the ship for dinner, followed by a marvellous Khmer folk performance. BLD Day 25. Siem Reap, Angkor. Your cruise ends today in Siem Reap, as you disembark for the final time. This afternoon, visit Angkor Thom, a walled city complex within the Angkor Archaeological Park. This amazing World Heritage-listed park contains the remains of different Khmer empire capitals. Visit iconic landmarks including the 13th-century temple, Bayon. Special Stay – enjoy an indulgent stay at Shinta Mani Resort in Siem Reap. Stay (Two Nights): Siem Reap, Shinta Mani Resort. BD Day 26. Siem Reap, Angkor. This morning, enjoy time to explore Siem Reap at your leisure and take in the many sights of the city. This afternoon takes you to nearby Ta Prohm, a temple famous for its intertwined trees. Like a Local – visit ODA, a 'grass roots' art organisation run by the local community and meet the children there. This evening, experience the sunset over Angkor Wat, said to be the world's largest religious monument. Then, enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travellers, followed by a magnificent performance of traditional Apsara dance. Enhance Your Journey: This morning, perhaps take an elephant ride; learn the secrets of Cambodian cuisine during a cooking class; explore the markets of Siem Reap on a shopping tour; or embark on a quad bike adventure (see page 26 for details).
