Pacific Coast Journey 19 DAY SIX: Rouge River Jetboat Trip and the Redwoods Following the spectacular Oregon coastline, you will come to Gold Beach, where you embark on a jetboat excursion along the Rogue River. You will follow a portion of the old mailboat route before your travels bring you to northern California, home of Redwood National Park. Continuing along the coastline through miles of giant forests, today's destination is Eureka, where accommodations await and dinner features the lumberjack camp- style cooking of historic Samoa Cookhouse. (B, D) DAY SEVEN: Avenue of the Giants and Sonoma Valley Another tour highlight is this morning's drive along a portion of the Avenue of the Giants, through huge stands of magnificent redwoods in Humboldt Redwoods and Richardson Grove State Parks. This afternoon you will motor through the famed Sonoma Valley wine country, where a stop has been scheduled for a tasting at Paradise Ridge Winery. Approaching the Bay area, you will check-in for a two night stay at a charming inn in Novato. (B) DAY EIGHT: San Francisco Touring and Bay Cruise You will cross the Golden Gate Bridge, and then spend the morning touring San Francisco, discovering the many sights for which the "City by the Bay" is renowned. Free time for browsing at Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 begins the afternoon, before an invigorating cruise of San Francisco Bay. Your farewell evening in Chinatown includes a Chinese banquet dinner at the Cathay House.
