ARGENTINA VACATION ENHANCING TOURS Iguazu ARGENTINIAN-SIDE FALLS TOUR This full-day tour leaves from the hotel to visit the Argentinean side of Iguazú Falls, located within Iguazú National Park, one of the first protected areas of the Americas. Iguazu is made up of 275 falls thundering down from a 230-foot average height. In this section of the rainforest, a huge variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds and butterflies can be seen while walking, plus a diversity of native species. On the way to Estación Central, you will take a train to Estación Cataratas and/or Estación Garganta del Diablo. Another way of reaching the Cataratas Upper and Lower Circuits is through the pedestrian trail Sendero Verde, 1,969 feet long, which starts at the Visitor Center and ends in Estación Cataratas. Mendoza WINE CELLARS On this half-day tour you will view prestigious wineries, which represent Argentinean wines throughout the world with high quality vintages. You will visit two wineries, using traditional methods as well as those using the latest technology. You will learn about current wine-making methods and processes, as well as the bottling and labeling of wines. Bariloche SHORT CIRCUIT TOUR The tour starts in Bariloche, riding down Ezequiel Bustillo Avenue, which is a winding, paved road along the Nahuel Huapi Lake. At kilometer 8, you will arrive at Playa Bonita, where you will see Huemul Island. Continuing along this road for another 6 miles, you will arrive at Campanario Hill. A chair lift will take you to the top of the hill, where you will enjoy one of the most impressive views of this region, the Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes, El Trébol lagoon, San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas, Victoria Island, Otto, López, Goye and Catedral hills, and the main town, San Carlos de Bariloche. After leaving the San Pedro peninsula behind, you will reach Llao Llao peninsula, with its namesake hilltop hotel and San Eduardo Chapel, two architectural jewels 30 Argentina of this region as well as the port. Further on, you will visit Panoramic Point, a belvedere with a magnificent view of Moreno Lake and Llao Llao peninsula. Calafate PERITO MORENO GLACIER TOUR From its beginning, the trip has pleasant surprises. From the outskirts of El Calafate, at your right, you will see the Argentinian lake with its Round Bay populated by a variety of birds including, black neck swans, flamencos, duck steams, gallaretas and cauquéns. After the entrance to the National Park, you will have the opportunity to observe the Patagonic Andean Forest as well as the highlight of the tour, the majestic glacier. There are footbridges that you can use to catch different views of the glacier. Ushuaia HD TIERRA DEL FUEGO NATIONAL PARK This 4-hour tour takes place around one of the most important protected areas in the country and the only one located by the sea shore. You will set off from the city center, heading south west, traveling through coastal landscapes and, after watching the glacier valleys, you will stop at the Fuegian Southern Railway station, where passengers can choose to enter the Park on board the famous End of the World Train. At Bahía Ensenada, the Concheros Antropogénicos contains the remains of mollusks and ashes which is today covered with vegetation. Then you will head to Roca Lake where you will see the geography of "Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego" which has a sister city relationship with the Chilean Republic. After walking along the park, you will get some free time to rest and recover your strength, tasting some chocolate or coffee in "Casita Del Bosque" by the Lapataia River.
