Margaret
River

Main Break, off
Surfers Point, is where
locals paddle for
consistently monstrous
waves; for half-size
curls, head for the
Margaret River mouth.
Keep an eye out for rips
and enjoy the twometre peaks. Similar
conditions can be found
at Conto Beach, where
some surfing scenes
in Drift were filmed.
More experienced
riders should seek out
the peaks at Redgate,
where the swell rises
to three metres. Work
the right-hander barrels
at Injidup, or lose the
crowds farther south
at Boranup, where
clean surf and isolated
beaches abound.
