Modern medicine has discovered that there are indeed scientific reasons for the healing benefits of the wonder oil: eucalyptus is a natural antiseptic and has antibacterial effects on bacteria in the respiratory tract. A great way to stop a scratchy sore throat in its tracks is to suck on a lozenge that contains the oil. Australian company Aussie Drops has a wide range of lozenges that now come in handy flip-top packs for pockets and purses. This year, in an effort to drive international interest, Melbourne will be hosting Dreamtime: Tourism Australia's largest trade marketing event. Tourism Australia Managing Director Andrew McEvoy said Dreamtime was part of a broader strategy to promote Australia internationally as a business events destination and deliver economic benefits to the sector. "Dreamtime gives the Australian business events industry a platform to do business with well qualified international buyers from key markets such as China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand, North America and the United Kingdom," he said.
