Amsterdam, Freedom of Choice. Today take a canal cruise, tour the Van Gogh Museum or explore the National Maritime Museum. Then rejoin your ship and set off along the Rhine River. Tonight, enjoy the Captain's Gala Wel ome Dinner. c BLD Day 6. Würzburg, Freedom of Choice. Today, choose to tour Würzburg's Residential BLD Palace or visit medieval Rothenburg. Day 7. Bamberg. Travel to World Heritagelisted Bamberg and enjoy a guided tour. Afterwards, visit a traditional Bamberg Beer Haus and enjoy the local brew, compliments of APT. Later, cruise onto the Main-Danube Canal, a feat of modern engineering. BLD Day 3. Cologne, Koblenz. Join a local guide today for a tour of Cologne, and see the twin spires of the city's Gothic cathedral, once the world's tallest building. Later, cruise to the charming 2,000 year-old city of Koblenz. After dinner, perhaps step out for an evening stroll through the heart of the city. BLD Day 8. Nuremberg, Freedom of Choice. On arrival in Nuremberg, perhaps take a World War II tour that includes Courtroom 600, which hosted the Nuremberg trials. Or take a medieval tour and see the 900 year-old ramparts that surround the city, the Imperial Castle and more. At lunch, continue along the Main-Danube Canal. This afternoon, arrive at the highest point of your cruise, 435 metres above sea level, and cross Europe's Continental Divide.BLD Day 4. Rüdesheim, Freedom of Choice. Cruise through the Rhine Gorge, on what is known as the Rhine's most beautiful stretch. Arrive in Rüdesheim, and enjoy a gondola ride, tour a musical instrument museum or visit a winery. BLD Day 9. Regensburg, Freedom of Choice. Regensburg is known as one of Germany's best-preserved medieval cities. On arrival here, perhaps take a tour of the city's architectural highlights, or take a bicycle tour to the hillside temple of Walhalla. BLD Day 5. Wertheim, Freedom of Choice. After an onboard glass-blowing demonstration, disembark and travel to Wertheim for a walking tour or a bicycle tour. Later, visit Wertheim Castle and enjoy a glass of Sekt as you take in the views out over the Main River. BLD Day 10. Passau, Freedom of Choice, Linz. This morning arrive in Passau. Perhaps travel by coach to Salzburg for a tour of the city's 'Sound of Music' sights or take a day tour to Ceský Krumlov in the Czech Republic.
